Eye Care Services

An eye exam is your first step towards the perfect vision you always wanted. A thorough comprehensive eye examination is done to patients of all ages to determine the overall health of the eyes and to address any conditions with the appropriate treatment plan. A comprehensive eye exam allows our optometrists to assess more than just your prescription, enabling the early detection of eye disease, diagnosis of dry eye, prevention of eye disease from UV and Blue light, and addressing vision issues that are addressed by vision therapy.

Ortho K, which is a form of myopia control, is recommended by eye doctors to reduce the risk of eye disease when your child gets older. Ortho K lenses are only worn at night, where they gently shape your eye, leaving you with excellent vision during the day, without needing to wear glasses or contact lenses. Orthokeratology, or "ortho-k," is a method of reshaping the eyes with the use of specially-designed rigid gas permeable contact lenses. With ortho-k, the surface of the eye is flattened, thereby correcting mild to moderate amount of nearsightedness and astigmatism.

Astigmatism is a very common eye condition that's easily corrected with eyeglasses or contact lenses and on some cases, with surgery. Our optical and eye doctors have a range of options for patients with astigmatism.

Red, Pink or Sore Eyes?

Did you know that most eye emergencies can be treated just as effectively if not more at a qualified optometrist? While most people think that they should visit an emergency room or urgent care for an eye emergency, our eye doctors have extensive experience with most kinds of eye emergencies.

Our optometrists can help you with red eyes, pink eye, foreign body removal, scratched eyes, severe dryness or itchiness, chemical spills, styes,  and other types of eye emergencies. Learn more about eye emergencies.

Studies show 80% of learning is visual.

The common misconception is that if your child does not need glasses, they are not one of the 20%. The truth is that there are 17 tasks used on a daily basis, 11 of those are used when reading. If a child passes their vision screening but has trouble with any of the other 17 tasks, they will experience difficulty in the classroom and socially.

To ensure your children’s visual resources, we recommend a developmental eye exam for children aged, 3, 6, and annually after that (bi-annually if they do not wear glasses).

Is your child struggling with homework and near work?

Our practice offers state of the art vision therapy for kids and adults. Vision therapy works with the patient to help them improve in a visual skill that is holding them back.

Kids with vision-related learning issues have amazing success with vision therapy. Visit our vision therapy page to learn more.

Our optometrists provide custom Scleral contact lenses for patients with corneal irregularities, high astigmatism, severe dryness, and general discomfort from other contact lens modalities.

Scleral Lenses are ideal as they provide unparalleled vision and comfort.   If you’re looking for Scleral contact lenses for Keratoconus, we provide the highest level of care for patients from Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Deer Park, Hawthorn Woods, Kildeer, Lake Zurich, Lincolnshire, Mundelein, Palatine, Riverwoods and Vernon Hills.

We diagnose and treat Presbyopia at Forsight Vision. Reading difficulties are a natural part of aging for people above 40, who usually find reading and performing other near-vision activities became difficult because the lens of their eyes become increasingly inflexible with age, making it harder to focus on closer objects.

Are there alternatives to wearing reading glasses?

We offer multifocal contact lenses and progressive eyeglasses lenses for presbyopia.

Our optometrists are qualified to diagnose and manage ocular diseases, such as Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy and Cataracts.

Dry, painful, watery, puffy eyes?

Dry eye syndrome (DES) is a chronic condition that develops when the eyes do not produce and maintain enough tears to keep the eye lubricated. Our optometrists have the latest equipment to manage even the most severe forms of dry eye. Visit our Dry Eye Website

LASIK (laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis) is a type of laser refractive surgery — the best known and most commonly performed. A special type of cutting laser is generally used to meticulously change the shape of the cornea to improve vision. If you're ready for an alternative to eyeglasses and/or contact lenses, visit us for a co-management using LASIK for cataract, and other ocular surgeries. We co-manage LASIK procedures, which means we are there to assist in pre operative care, post operative care, as well as guiding you through the process and finding the best surgeon.
